Maggiano's Brings Essence of Italian-American With San Antonio Opening

11/13/08

Maggiano's Offers Authentic Made-From-Scratch Dishes and Family Style Dining

SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Maggiano's Little Italy(R) officially welcomes San Antonio residents and visitors today with its grand opening at The Rim. This is the first Maggiano's Little Italy to open in San Antonio, bringing the total number of Maggiano's restaurants to 44 locations worldwide.

Maggiano's Little Italy offers guests classic and contemporary Italian-American dishes in a warm and friendly nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the golden age of Little Italy. Maggiano's made-from-scratch food served family style or a la carte, red-checkered tablecloths, family portraits, leather banquettes and richly polished mahogany wood provide a distinct ambiance and welcoming environment where guests enjoy a unique and memorable dining experience.

Jody Webb, General Manager, and Paolo Pineda, Executive Chef, will oversee restaurant operations. Webb and Pineda combined have more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry and most recently held positions at the Maggiano's in Houston, Texas and Bridgewater, N.J., respectively.

"We are eager to bring our authentic recipes and warm, inviting hospitality to our residents and visitors in the San Antonio community," said Webb. "At Maggiano's we strive to make sure everyone feels special while inviting our guests to enjoy dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients -- right here in their neighborhood."

Maggiano's famous family style dining is perfect for sharing and allows guests to choose two selections from each of the following courses: appetizers, salads, pastas, main courses and desserts to share at their table. Guests can also select from a full menu of a la carte items ranging from new twists on old favorites such as Lasagna or Baked Ziti & Sausage to famous Chef-inspired creations such as Lobster Fettuccine and Maggiano's signature Rigatoni "D(R)."

The Maggiano's San Antonio family believes in being a vibrant member of the San Antonio community and giving back to those in need. At a recent grand opening celebration, a portion of the proceeds were donated to the Texas chapter of Operation Homefront, an organization that provides emergency assistance and morale to U.S. military men and women, the families they leave behind, and those wounded after returning home from war.

Located at 17603 IH 10 W at The Rim in San Antonio, Maggiano's offers lunch, dinner, carryout, and banquet spaces for any occasion. The bar and dining areas are open from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday - Thursday; and 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
